Travis Scott has released a statement following the tragedy that took place on the first night of the “Astroworld” Festival that left eight people dead and many injured.
Scott took to Twitter to express his concern about what took place at the festival.
“I’m absolutely devastated by what took place last night. My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival. Houston PD has my total support as they continue to look into the tragic loss of life. I am committed to working together with the Houston community to heal and support the families in need. Thank you to Houston Pd, Fire Department and NRG Park for their immediate response and support. Love you all.”
According to TMZ, sources claim that someone in the crowd was injecting people with an unknown drug, which caused panic and a surge. The sources say that authorities are trying to figure out if those that went into cardiac arrest were the ones that were injected.
An investigation is currently underway.
