As the fallout from the Astroworld tragedy continues, social media users are calling out Travis Scott for encouraging his concert attendees to act out or “rage” during his performances.
Many are pointing to an incident from 2015, where the Houston rapper was arrested after a brief Lollapalooza set for urging his fans to ignore security rules and jump the barriers. Police said at the time that Scott was inciting a riot by using his time on stage and previous Instagram posts to demand that fans rush the stage. He was jailed for disorderly conduct.
Sadly — these situations are nothing new for @trvisXX and his “brand” of music.
Looking back all the way to @lollapalooza in 2015 where he was arrested for inciting a riot and the list goes on from there.#ASTROWORLDhttps://t.co/C2A89wtOoN

During another headlining concert that same year at the Warfield in San Francisco, Scott was heard telling the eager crowd to become rowdy.
“I know when I turn the f*** around, I better see bodies in the air! I better see moshing! I better see everybody in the balcony losing their f***ing minds!” the “Rodeo” rapper said.
More recently, in May of this year, the 30-year-old declared that he’d be “sneaking the wild ones in” after news broke of his Astroworld tickets selling out.

Needless to say, in the wake of Friday’s deadly show, social media users are pulling out the receipts documenting Scott’s long history of pushing his fans to become unruly.
This is my introduction to Travis Scott so his antics and apathy don’t surprise me https://t.co/SkIX04S2yH
