Have you ever wanted to play video games but in luxury? Microsoft and Gucci have paired together to create a Gucci-themed Xbox Series X that will cost you a few racks.
The Italian fashion house has created only 100 of these custom consoles that will go for about $10,000. While that may seem like an expensive ticket, you won’t only be getting the gaming system for that price. The price tag will not only include the console but two themed controllers, a vintage hard carrying case, and a subscription to Game Pass.
The Gucci console will have a more classier look than the original matte black look. This console will feature a laser-engraved pattern of Gucci’s signature ‘GG’ symbol. This will not only be a representation of Guccio Gucci’s initials but a wordplay on the phrase “good game.” “An evolution of the original Gucci Rhombi design from the ’30s, the GG pattern becomes a wordplay—not only representing Guccio Gucci’s initials but also the gaming phrase ‘Good Game,” according to Gucci.
And it wouldn’t be in typical Gucci fashion if the gaming system didn’t come in a stylish luggage box. Like the controllers, the carrying box will have the same red and blue stripes with yellow trim.
Each console has been carefully numbered and will only be sold in various flagship locations worldwide on November 17th.
In the year of the House’s centennial, Gucci and @Xbox come together to celebrate their respective anniversaries by creating 100 numbered Xbox Series X sets. The bundle appears in images by @HYPEBEAST @hypebeast featuring @EmeraldRose and @KojeyRadical. #GucciXbox pic.twitter.com/SkNdUfPSqV
