Chico DeBarge was recently arrested for his third methamphetamine possession charge as well as drug paraphernalia.
According to TMZ, on November 6th, authorities received a call about a man “causing a disturbance” at a mobile home. When the officers arrived, they noticed an RV with a registration tag that expired six months ago. This prompted the officers to search the mobile home as a routine of the impoundment process.
In the midst of their search, the authorities discovered methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia where DeBarge was living. Chico was arrested immediately and booked for possession of controlled substances. However, the singer was ultimately released on a promise to appear citation.
This isn’t Chico’s first time having problems with drugs. DeBarge, who rose to fame with his musical family in the ’80s, has always been open about his addiction. Chico was arrested in 2007, late 2019, and early 2021 on drug possession charges.
