Polo G has had multiple charges dropped against him in connection to his Miami arrest that made news in June.

This morning TMZ reported that two felony charges against the rapper had been dismissed, including the battery of a law enforcement officer and threatening a public servant. Prosecutors were unable to discover sufficient evidence to sustain those allegations.

According to court records, the criminal mischief case was closed on Oct. 27, while the assault of a law enforcement officer charge was closed several months ago. The rappers remaining charges are for misdemeanors.

In late October, Polo G registered in a Pre-Trial Diversion Program, in connection to the allegations of resisting an officer without violence.

Polo G’s mother, Stacia Mac, said the rapper and his younger brother were initially detained “because they were driving while Black.”  Mac later tweeted that her son was “moving smart and correctly” when he was arrested.

She said, “None of these charges would be possible if the POLICE did not make contact with my son Polo G!!!”
