Disney Will Have Black Santas Across its Theme Parks

Well, dang, finally! Disney has announced that both it’s Florida’s Disney World and California’s Disneyland will introduce diverse Santa Claus characters at meet-and-greets at its theme parks.

This will be the first time Santa Claus will be portrayed by Black actors inside the Disney theme parks, CNN reported.

However, Disney hasn’t made an official announcement, but a spokesperson for the company did say that Santa is represented differently around the world, and therefore will reflect diversity at its theme parks.

WDW News Today also confirmed the news and said cast members had shared photos of Santas they’ve spotted across the parks this year.

It’s about time.
