At this point, let’s just give Kim Kardashian a cape and change her status to superhero. The SKIMS owner has helped Afghanistan’s women’s youth soccer team members flee from their Taliban ran country.

A plane chartered by Kardashian carried 30 teenage players and their families from Pakistan to Britain. The players and their families will stay in a coronavirus facility for ten days before beginning their new lives.

If you aren’t aware, the Taliban militants took control of the government in Afghanistan back in August. Women who play sports are seen as defiance against the Taliban. Many of these women have already left the country once the militants took over and disturbed women’s education and freedom.

The team’s former captain Khalida Popal says she was able to get visas to the U.K. for the team, “but she needed funding to get them out.” However, Khalida works closely with the Tzedek Association, a New-York based nonprofit working for criminal justice and humanitarian issues. Khalida reached out to the nonprofit’s President, rabbi Moshe Margaretten a few weeks ago about a “serious crisis.”

The Tzedek Association then reached out to Kim Kardashian, who they previously worked with, for financial assistance. Sources say, “they asked Kim if she would be willing to help, and within an hour, she confirmed she would pay for the flight.”

Kim has since said, “it was a privilege to be a part of a life-saving mission.”

It's such a privilege to be a part of this life-saving mission to save the Afghan Female Youth National Team! All girls have the right to be whatever they want to be. They are courageous and it's tragic they had to flee their country because they wish to play a sport they love. pic.twitter.com/s9nAD588lg
