Seven doctors who are allegedly against vaccines have wound up sick with COVID-19 after they gathered to discuss alternative treatments for the virus.

The Guardian reports that after attending a COVID-19 vaccine alternative “summit,” seven doctors either got sick or actually contracted Coronavirus. One of the COVID-19 treatment alternatives was ivermectin, which comes in tablets. The FDA approved ivermectin to treat people with intestinal strongyloidiasis and onchocerciasis, two conditions that are caused by parasitic worms. The FDA notes that it should not be used to treat or prevent COVID-19. Ivermectin is typically used for livestock, including cows and horses.

“I have been on ivermectin for 16 months, my wife and I,” Dr. Bruce Boros told the audience at the World Equestrian Center, where the event was held. “I have never felt healthier in my life.” Out of the 800 to 900 attendees, six other doctors also tested positive for COVID-19 or developed symptoms “within days of the conference.”

The FDA warns that people should “never use medications intended for animals on yourself or other people. Animal ivermectin products are very different from those approved for humans. Use of animal ivermectin for the prevention or treatment of Covid-19 in humans is dangerous.”
