A raid on a hot dog restaurant is the latest development in the takedown of what authorities call the largest illegal drug operation in Broward County.
Last week, federal agents descended upon the Pompano Beach restaurant and were captured on video taking bags out of the shop and two adjoining businesses by NBC 6 cameras. According to court documents, authorities found cocaine, other narcotics, and large sums of money.
The owner of Chi-Town Italian Beef and Chicago Hot Dogs Restaurant, Louis Younglove Sr., was arrested earlier this year on various drug trafficking charges. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
Now his three sons, Alan, Anthony, and Adam, are also behind bars.Â
Homeland Security picked up Anthony, who told the court he was arrested in a CVS parking lot. He reportedly had just sold 170 grams of suspected heroin and was in possession of $237,000.
Remy Culon, who works at a business in the area, said he would find little baggies of drugs in the parking every morning for lunch. He said they were all given to BSO.
“We started finding a little bag of which was holding cocaine, mostly empty, but sometimes full,” he said.
