COVID 19 VACCINE

A Los Angeles firefighter is in hot water after wiping his butt with a COVID-19 vaccination non-compliance letter in front of others. Even worse, the man left fecal matter on the note before tossing it on the ground.

The incident occurred on November 18th at Fire Station 69 in Pacific Palisades. A Los Angeles Fire Department captain and chief officer witnessed the incident after the man was handed the letter. The Stentorians of Los Angeles City, an organization that represents African American firefighters, confirmed the incident in a statement to the Board of Fire Commissioners and city officials, which included an image of the stained letter. They called the incident a “horrific display of unprofessionalism.” The group demanded that the department and city take action so that no other employees were motivated to carry out such a disrespectful act.

LAFD spokeswoman Cheryl Getuiza confirmed that the firefighter is now on paid administrative leave and will face appropriate consequences, though she would not elaborate.

The fire department has experienced widespread resistance over its COVID-19 mandate, which states that all employees must be vaccinated. Vaccination notices were recently sent to all employees who have not yet provided proof of their vaccine or exemption status. The letter said that these documents needed to be sent in by December 18th or workers would be removed from duty without pay.

Getuiza confirmed that all city employees were required to abide by the vaccination mandate or face termination.

The identity of the firefighter has not been made public. The LAFD Professional Standards Division is investigating.
