Tyga dodged a bullet in the domestic violence case involving his ex-girlfriend, avoiding a felony charge.

According to TMZ, L.A.’s District of Attorney’s Office refused the case and passed it to L.A. City Attorney’s Office. And since only the D.A’s office can file a felony charge, Tyga will not receive a harsh verdict. But the rapper isn’t off the hook yet as he still can be charged with a misdemeanor.

The D.A.’s office decided to pass the case over because Tyga’s ex, Camaryn Swanson’s injuries and evidence weren’t worthy of a felony charge. Camaryn revealed her injuries on Instagram that showed a bruised eye and blood on her sleeve.

“I’ve been emotionally, mentally, and physically abused and I’m not hiding it anymore. I’m so embarrassed and ashamed it had to get to this but I have to stand up for myself,” Camaryn adds to her Instagram story.

On October 11th, Camaryn Swanson filed a domestic violence report against Tyga. Camaryn accused Tyga of physically assaulting her during an argument in his home in California. Tyga was later arrested and booked on felony domestic violence charges but posted $50,000 bail. Tyga’s team has since denied the claims and said they’re “false and will be disproven.”
