Another gang of brazen smash and grab robbers made off with more than $25,000 in high-end goods after attacking a security guard with bear spray at shopping center in California.
The incident happened Wednesday at a Nordstrom store at the Westfield Topanga mall in Canoga Park when five thieves struck around 6:45 p.m.
According to reports, the suspects attacked the guard and sprayed him with bear repellent before they snatched up expensive handbags and fled the scene in a newer model gray Ford Mustang.
The robbers also sprayed an employee in that attack and assaulted two others.
Emergency crews were seen swarming the store shortly after the robbery but there were no immediate arrests made. Officials said the security guard was treated by paramedics at the scene.
This robbery is the latest in a plague of smash-and-grab raids happening all over the country.
