Artists Taking Precautions at Shows Following Astroworld Tragedy

Following the Astroworld tragedy, several artists have started going the extra mile to make sure their fans are safe and feeling well –even if that means pausing the show.

Recently, SZA and Teyana Taylor have paused their performances to tend to fans who seem to be in distress.

At a November 11 concert, SZA called out to medics after she noticed a person in distress. Footage from the concert in Salt Lake City, Utah shows the R&B singer coming to the aid of the fan, who reportedly fell unconscious.

The “Love Galore” songstress is also seen urging the venue staff to hand out bottles of water to the crowd. SZA referenced the Astroworld incident, saying “Some may think, ‘Hey people pass out all the time.’ But people don’t die at concerts all the time.”

During the November 8 stop of her Last Rose Petal: Farewell Tour in Las Angeles, Teyana Taylor stopped her show to check on a concertgoer. In the video, Taylor can be seen asking audience members if the woman was all right and had security seat her in the front away from everyone.

“Are you okay? Say rose petal if you’re ok” said Taylor.

The young lady responded and said she was ok and Taylor continued the show.

Since the Astroworld tragedy, Travis Scott, Drake, Apple Music, Live Nation, and NRG Stadium were hit with a $2 billion lawsuit representing nearly 300 alleged victims.
