Arizona State University students planned a rally to keep Kyle Rittenhouse off their campus, but school officials say he’s not currently enrolled.

“Kyle Rittenhouse has not gone through the ASU admissions process,” a university spokesperson told the New York Post in an email. “University records show that he is not currently enrolled in any classes at ASU.”

Rittenhouse testified at his trial that he was taking classes at ASU. The school previously released a statement that he had enrolled as a non-degree seeking online student for the session that began on Oct. 13, 2021. It allows students preparing to seek admission into a degree program to begin taking classes.

Four ASU student groups led by Students for Socialism ASU planned a rally for Wednesday to keep Rittenhouse out of the school. Despite being acquitted of all charges, the groups say they don’t want “a white supremacist killer on our campus.”

Students for Socialism ASU issued a statement with a list of demands, such as denying Rittenhouse admission, issuing a statement against him and white supremacy, and supporting the school’s multicultural center.

Here’s our extended statement regarding Kyle Rittenhouse on campus, including our revised demands.

“Even with the not-guilty verdict from a flawed ‘justice’ system — Kyle Rittenhouse is still guilty in the eyes of the people,” they wrote.

The rally is still scheduled to take place on the Tempe campus Wednesday.
