After his backlash for making homophobic comments at Rolling Loud Miami, DaBaby apologized and agreed to donate to several HIV/AIDS awareness organizations. But those same organizations say they never received a dime.

Communications consultant for the Black AIDS Institute, Pavni Guharoy, told The Daily Beast that while the meeting with the rapper went well, he never followed up. “Since then, we have not received any outreach, partnership, or funding from DaBaby,” she told the outlet.

In addition to the Black AIDS Institute, DaBaby met with eight other organizations. They all issued a joint statement acknowledging that they met with him to educate him. In turn, he apologized for his hurtful comments. But three of those groups say they never heard from DaBaby again, nor have they received any financial contributions.

Six of the organizations, including GLAAD, did not respond to The Daily Beast’s request for comment.

DaBaby may have got his second chance with Rolling Loud, announcing his Live Show Killa tour. Still, the comments he made during the festival have continued to have an impact.

“Pavni GuharoyIf you didn’t show up today with HIV/AIDS, or any of them deadly STDs that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up,” he said during his July performance. “Ladies, if your pussy smell like water, put your cellphone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking dick in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”

Following the comments, DaBaby was dropped from several high-profile festivals, lost his collaboration with BoohooMAN, and faced backlash from his peers.
