A FedEx employee isn’t in the festive mood this season. Allegedly, the driver dumped packages in an Alabama ravine. Nearly 500 families are affected by the “FedEx debacle” after multiple FedEx trucks found at least 400 packages in a ravine near Blount County.

The Blount County Sheriff says that the driver had at least dumped the truck six times. According to New York Post, Rae Lyn Rushing, FedEx spokesperson, says that customers with questions or concerns about their packages can get updates on the company’s website.

Rushing says, “we are appalled to learn of this incident and can confirm that efforts are immediately underway to retrieve and deliver the packages to their intended recipient.”  She continues, “we will continue to cooperate fully with law enforcement during their investigation, including any criminal prosecution of, or civil action against, the individuals responsible.”

Several images show FedEx employees retrieving the packages in the midpoint of the location.

Authorities have started to question the driver and found more packages alongside a nearby road. Some of the packages were damaged prior to recovery.
