A good samaritan turned over $1 million worth of cocaine that they found near the Florida Keys.

On Saturday, an unidentified boater spotted the massive shipment of cocaine floating off Islamorada in the Upper Keys. Instead of keeping the load for himself and becoming the next Florida kingpin, the boater contacted authorities. U.S. Customs and Border Protection retrieved the drugs and are now working to determine their origins.

U.S. Border Patrol Chief Patrol Agent Thomas Martin posted a photo of the packaged cocaine on Twitter. He says that the shipment contained almost 69 pounds of cocaine with an estimated street value of over $1 million.

Apart from the fact that the package was confiscated, not much is known about the dope at this time. It is unclear if the boater is eligible for any reward money for turning over illicit powder.
