Kim Kardashian wasn’t swooned by her estranged husband’s attempt to rekindle their love. In fact, she filed legal documents to become a legally single woman.
The reality star filed the documents on Friday, which a judge then signed to make her legally single.
She’s essentially requesting that the judge make certain issues separate, including child custody and property from marital status.
Kim is also asking that her maiden name be restored to Kardashian, TMZ reported.
Kim’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, has frequently made similar moves with her other celebrity clients, including Dr. Dre and Kelly Clarkson. The strategic move allows people to get on with their lives and leave the other issues for a different day.
Before Kim filed the documents, Ye went on stage at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum the night before, and as he sang “Runaway,” he ad-libbed over vocals on the song to say, “Run back to me, more specifically, Kimberly.”
Kim happened to be in the crowd, along with their two children, North and Saint.
Despite Kim’s recent move, it seems like the two are amicable. They attended close friend Virgil Abloh’s funeral together.
