Authorities report at least six fatalities after a tornado smashed through a massive Amazon warehouse in Evansville, Illinois.
Edwardsville Fire Chief James Whiteford also revealed that another injured Amazon worker was airlifted to a hospital during a press conference. Searchers were carefully sifting through the rubble to search for additional victims.
At least 45 people survived the destruction on Friday night around 8:30 when the tornado struck the building.
Because the devastation happened during a shift change, authorities are trying to determine how many people were actually in the building or otherwise unaccounted for.
