A man in California has been arrested after he allegedly sexually assaulted at least six women, including one who was left in a ditch for several days with a broken leg.
The Riverside County D.A. announced the arrest of 36-year-old Jose Manuel Martinez Garcia, who was charged with 14 felony counts, including four counts of attempted murder.
The D. A. alleges that Garcia attacked six women from September 2020 to August 2021 in the Coachella Valley area. Three of the women were strangled to unconsciousness, while another two were struck by Garcia’s pickup truck.
The District Attorney claims that in one of the incidents involving Garcia’s truck, the victim’s leg was broken. She was callously left injured in a ditch for several days before being found and rushed to receive medical attention.
Garcia was arrested on October 5. He has been held in custody without bail since his arrest.
