Tory Lanez Ordered to Pay Megan Thee Stallion’s Legal Fees After Mocking Deposition

A detective testified Tuesday that Tory Lanez yelled “dance bitch, dance” as he allegedly fired a gun at Megan The Stallion‘s feet.

Lanez’s shocking comments were discussed during the preliminary hearing for the singer’s felony assault case. LAPD detective took a stand to describe Lanez’s interaction with Megan after arriving on the scene of the July 2020 shooting. According to detective Ryan Syogner, Meagan claimed Lanez was highly intoxicated during the incident.

The officer said police were called to a location in Hollywood Hills at around 4:30 a.m. after the artists’ dispute allegedly turned violent.

The detective continued, addressing Lanes by his real name — Daystar Peterson– saying “he apologized for doing it and offered her money while begging her to please not say anything and made a reference to the fact he was already on probation and begged her not to say anything.”

Peterson was arrested a few hours later. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.

In a social media post disclosing the shooting, Megan said she and Peterson were not in a relationship. It is unclear why the two argued, but Peterson was ordered to stay away from Meg.

If convicted as charged, he faces a maximum sentence of 22 years and eight months in state prison.
