Giants legend Lawrence Taylor was arrested in Florida for sex offender violations. He has been charged with two felonies.
The former defensive allegedly failed to tell authorities he changed his address, a requirement he has as a registered sex offender.
Taylor, 62, was declared a sex offender in 2011. He pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct and patronizing a prostitute in a case that involved sex with a 16-year old girl, the New York Post reported.
According to TMZ, Taylor was released several hours after being arrested and booked on Thursday night.
This isn’t the legend’s first time having a run-in with the law. Taylor also pleaded guilty to driving under the influence in 2016 and was arrested in 2009 for leaving the scene of an accident.
During his professional career, Taylor used cocaine regularly and passed drug tests by using the urine of his teammates.
However, he failed two drug tests in 1987 and 1988 and entered drug rehab twice in 1995. He has been arrested multiple times for trying to buy narcotics.
Taylor, a Hall of Famer and eight-time All-Pro, is widely considered the greatest Giants player of all time – if not the greatest player, period.
