A Taylor Swift-themed party turned into a super spreader after 100 guests tested positive for Covid 19.
The party celebrated Swift’s “Red” album, and organizers are asking anyone who attended, even those who have not yet tested positive for the virus, to isolate- just in case.
The pop star did not attend the party held at Sydney’s Metro Theatre in Australia on December 10, but 600 of her fans did.
“Anyone who attended the ‘On Repeat: Taylor Swift Red Party’” at Sydney’s Metro Theatre on “December 10 is a close contact and must immediately get tested and isolate for 7 days,” a public health alert warned. At least 97 cases of COVID-19 have been traced back to that party so far. “It is likely some of these cases have the Omicron variant of concern,” the alert notes.
