Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was one of three of the team’s players placed on the COVID-19 reserve list on Monday.Â
Kelce, 32, was one of three players added to the list by the Chiefs on Monday. Cornerback Charvarius Ward and kicker Harrison Butker were also added to the COVID-19 reserve list.Â
There is a possibility that Kelce could be cleared in time for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Pro Bowler would need to meet the terms outlined in the league’s revised protocols. The Chiefs have the best record in the AFC and have won their last seven games.
Kelce currently leads NFL tight ends in receiving yardage with 1,066. He is second in catches with 83 and fourth in touchdowns with seven. This is his sixth straight 1,000-yard season.Â
The NFL was hit hard Monday, with 51 total players added to the COVID-19 list. It’s the most players added to the list in a single day.
