Joe Biden says that if he’s still “in good health,” he plans on running for president again.
We’ve just finished up our first year with Joe Biden as president, and the 79-year-old is already thinking about running it byke for a second term. On Wednesday, Biden sat down for an interview with ABC News and explained that going up against Trump again ain’t no problem.
“If I’m in the health I’m in now — I’m in good health — then, in fact, I would run again,” Biden said. “I’m a great respecter of fate. Fate has intervened in my life many, many times.”
He added that added his interest in running again might be piqued more if Donald Trump comes back for another shot as president. “You’re trying to tempt me now. Sure. Why would I not run against Donald Trump if he were the nominee? That would increase the prospect of running,” said Biden.
Both Biden and Trump have been some of the oldest papas we’ve had as president. Joe Biden is now the oldest person ever to assume the presidency. While Trump, 75, would be in his 80s if he ended up winning in the next election.
