Virginia’s Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed to multiple outlets that Washington Football Team defensive back and special teamer Deshazor Everett was the driver in a fatal car accident that happened Thursday night.
According to reports, Everett was driving a 2010 Nissan GT-R around 9:15 p.m., when the car “left the right side of the roadway, struck several trees, and rolled over.”
A 29-year-old Las Vegas woman identified as Olivia Peters was the passenger in Everett’s vehicle. She was taken to StoneSprings Hospital and died from her injuries.
Everett sustained serious injuries but none were life-threatening.
Washington released a statement earlier this morning, after news of the crash was made public: “We’ve been made aware of an automobile accident last night involving Deshazor Everett. A passenger in his vehicle lost their life and we extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends who lost a loved one.”
Police are currently investigating the crash.
