A man identified as Dino Tomassetti, 29, shot his parents Christmas morning in their Long Island home.
According to Nassau County police, gunshots were heard coming from a home located on Seawane Drive in Hewlett Harbor a little after 10 a.m. The victims were identified as Vincenza Marsicano-Tomassetti, 64, and Rocco Tomassetti, 65.
Dino shot his father in the back and his mother in the head. The New York Post reports the couple was taken to a local hospital.
Police arrested the 29-year-old in Mahwah, New Jersey. Police don’t have any information on what triggered the man to attack his parents. The news outlet reports that charges are pending.
