Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has responded to Vin Diesel’s invitation to return to the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise. Dwayne says there’s “no chance” he will be rejoining the cast and calls Vin’s attempt “manipulation.”

When CNN asked Johnson about the post, he responded that he was surprised at what Diesel said. This was probably because according to Dwayne, he previously told Vin he’s not interested in returning.

“I was very surprised by Vin’s recent post. This past June, when Vin and I actually connected not over social media. I told him directly, and privately that I would not be returning to the franchise. I was firm yet cordial with my words and said that I would always be supportive of the cast. And always root for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance I would return. I privately spoke with my partners at Universal as well. All of whom were very supportive as they understand the problem,” Johnson said.

Dwayne went on to say that Vin’s public attempt was “an example of manipulation” and he was wrong to bring up their kids & Paul Walker’s death.

“Vin’s recent public post was an example of his manipulation. I didn’t like that he brought up his children in the post, as well as Paul Walker’s death. Leave them out of it. We had spoken months ago about this and came to a clear understanding. My goal all along was to end my amazing journey with this incredible ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise with gratitude and grace,” the actor adds.

Dwayne ended his response by giving thanks to the franchise and sharing his support to his former castmates.

Dwayne and Vin’s feud began back in 2016 when Johnson called a male castmate “candy a**.” Dwayne never said who he was referring to but made the announcement early this year that he won’t be redoing the franchise.
