Faith Evans and Stevie J Reach Agreement in Divorce Battle

Stevie J will be forced to find new legal representation in his divorce battle with r&b star Faith Evans.

Stevie’s lawyer, Kimia Klein, has filed a motion to be relieved as counsel for the Grammy-award-winning producer. What’s more interesting is that Klein noted that even her colleagues at Fox Rothschild LLP do not want to represent the “Love & Hip-Hop” star.

Though she did not elaborate on what has gone wrong between her and her client, Klein says there was an “irremediable breakdown in the attorney-client relationship.” In the court documents, Klein revealed that she and her office tried to resolve the conflict with the 50-year-old to no avail. She is now requesting a hearing to discuss the specifics with a judge.

This is the latest legal hiccup in Stevie’s unraveling relationship with the “Soon As I Get Home” singer. The couple’s fairytale romance came to a screeching halt when he filed for divorce on November 8th, though they’d been separated since October 19th of this year. They parted ways briefly last year after reports surfaced that Evans had assaulted Stevie. The couple wed in Las Vegas on July 17th, 2018.

Stevie is seeking spousal support, which Evans has pushed back against. In early December, she asked a judge to deny the spousal support and asked that she keep all assets obtained before and during the marriage.

Stevie J has not publicly responded to being dropped by his attorney.
