For the millionth time, Marshawn Lynch is retired. He was retired yesterday and will be retired tomorrow. Why does this need to be reiterated? Because clearly, no one believes him.
Back in February 2016, Beastmode posted a photo of his cleats hanging on a power line, symbolizing him laying his professional football career to rest. In May, his retirement was made official when he filed the proper paperwork with the Seattle Seahawks and the NFL. Â For whatever reason, that wasn’t enough of an indicator that Lynch had quit the sport for good.
Marshawn Lynch sat down with Showtime’s 60 Minutes Sports when they asked him about possibly coming out of retirement to play for his hometown, Oakland.Â
“Nah, I’m done,” said Lynch. “I’m done. I enjoyed my time playing. I’m just gonna watch my cousins do their thing.”
When asked ONE more time if he would return, Lynch reiterates, “I’m retired! Is that good enough? Which camera do you want me to look into? I’m done. I’m not playing football anymore.”
I think he’s made it clear enough now, don’t you?
Marshawn’s episode of 60 Minutes Sports airs Tuesday night on Showtime.Â
