Rapper Pooh Shiesty pleaded guilty to a single firearms conspiracy charge Tuesday, Rolling Stone reports.

This announcement comes more than two months after it was revealed that the “Back in Bloods” rapper intended to take a plea deal in his federal robbery case.

As a result of the guilty plea, federal prosecutors dropped three other charges that could have resulted in a lifetime prison sentence. In addition, federal prosecutors have also agreed to suggest no more than a 97-month prison sentence, or eight years and one month, though the judge isn’t required to follow their recommendation.

As reported by Rolling Stone, the charge was for conspiracy to possess a firearm in furtherance of violent and drug-trafficking crimes. It stems from an October 2020 incident in Miami where Pooh and two associates allegedly shot a man in the butt they were purchasing sneakers and cannabis from.

He is currently still being held at Miami’s Federal Detention Center. A judge ordered the Memphis rapper to remain behind bars while he awaits trial.
