According to a report from Us Weekly, model Chanel Iman and New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard have split after four years of marriage and two kids together.
The outlet confirmed Shepard officially filed for divorce in June 2021.
An inside source shared that the pair have “quietly separated” and “are going to try and remain civil and friendly towards each other.”
Although Iman and Sterling have two beautiful kids together, in which they constantly post pictures, the two have wiped their Instagram clean of each other.
The athlete first met Iman in 2016 at NFL star Victor Cruz’s 30th birthday. In an interview with US Weekly in July of 2019, Sterling said he approached her at the party and offered her a drink. The two spent the rest of the night talking, and he left with her number.
Shepard proposed in December 2017, and they tied the knot at the Beverly Hills Hotel in 2018. A few months later, they announced that they were expecting their first daughter Cali and one year later shared the news that they were expecting baby No. 2.
Right before the birth of their second child, the Oklahoma native took to Instagram to gush about how Iman “takes care of me like no one ever has,” noting that he loves being married to her because she’s one of a kind.
“When I was younger, I’d see her in Victoria Secret Magazines that my sisters were getting, but it didn’t really come to me,” the Giants player told Us Weekly back in 2019.
He noted that his friend wanted to talk to Iman first, but he convinced him to speak to Iman’s friend instead.
The two dated for almost two years and got married shortly after.
