A woman suspected of fatally shooting a Brooklyn teen was arrested at Kennedy Airport as she tried to board a plane to Trinidad.
The suspect, Amari Harvey, was arrested by members of the NYPD’s Regional Fugitive Task Force while waiting for her plane at JFK Aiport’s terminal 4.
The 21-year-old woman was wanted in connection to the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Sharif Richards.
Richards was shot in the chest during an altercation inside an Infiniti G35 sedan parked at a Brooklyn corner on Sept. 29.
Detectives used video surveillance, eyewitness accounts, and cellphone records to put Harvey at the murder scene, but the motive for the shooting was not immediately disclosed.
Harvey has been charged with murder and weapon possession.
