Arby’s has hopped on the spicy sandwich train along with Popeyes, Wendy’s, Burger King, and Mc Donald’s.
As of Monday, the restaurant food chain will be offering the Diablo Dare, dubbed the “spiciest sandwich on the market.” It’s $5.99 and comes with a 12-ounce vanilla milkshake for FREE.
The sandwich will be layered with ghost pepper jack cheese, fiery hot seasoning, fire-roasted jalapenos, special BBQ sauce, and topped with a red chipotle bun. Customers can choose between a crispy chicken patty or smoked brisket for the protein.
“This is not a sandwich for the faint of heart,” said Patrick Schwing, chief marketing officer of Arby’s. “Everyone in the quick service restaurant industry says they have a spicy option, but our research tells us that consumers are disappointed by fast food claims of spicy.”
Fast food lovers seem to have an endless supply of options for spicy sandwiches, because they are easy to sell and they are extremely popular, I wouldn’t be surprised if this food trend continues.
