The cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 14 got the surprise of a lifetime when singer Alicia Keys surprised the queens.
In the exciting moment, Jorgeous, DeJa Syke, Jasmine Kennedie, Maddy Morphosis, Lady Camden, Angeria Paris Van, Michaels, and Daya Betty, were gearing up for a performance. That is when Keys, who was a guest judge, appeared from behind a two-way mirror.
“Hi, I just wanted you to know that I’m so excited and so proud of you. And I can’t believe we’re together!” Keys told the contestants as they shared in her excitement.
After speaking with Keys, Angeria says she was nervous but even more determined to make it to the end.
“I just want to make sure that my talent stands out enough to keep me in the number,” she shared.
Ultimately DeJa Skye and Daya Betty landed in the bottom two and faced off in a lip sync battle, performing Keys’ hit record, “Fallin‘,” as she looked on. In the end, DeJa was crowned the winner of the battle, ending Daya’s Drag Race journey.
Alicia Keys is the latest superstar to guest host the wildly popular drag competition series. Destiny’s Child star Michelle Williams, Nicki Minaj, and Niecy Nash are just are few who have judged the challenges throughout the seasons.
