Police have concluded that a missing young woman who was taking out the trash at her job was abducted.
On January 12th, Ahreal Smith was seen shortly after 9:00 p.m. taking out the trash after her shift at Claraville Little Sue store in Heathsville, Virginia. She is seen on the store’s surveillance, starting her vehicle before heading back inside and locking up the store. She then takes out the trash. However, the cameras do not capture her coming back from the dumpster located on the east side of the building. Her vehicle was located still running the following day by a co-worker. Smith was nowhere to be found.
Authorities arrested 50-year-old Tyrone N. Samuel, in connection to her disappearance. They have confirmed that Samuel likely abducted the 28-year-old. However, it is unclear what he did with her.
Smith’s sister, Lydia, called the ordeal a “living nightmare.” She also confirmed that her sister did not know Samuel prior to her disappearance. She is holding out hope that her sister is found alive.
A reward for information about Smith’s whereabouts now sits at $9,400.
