A hungry group at Golden Corral resorted to violence after news broke of the buffet running out of steak.
The massive brawl broke out on Friday around 4:30 p.m. at the restaurant in Bensalem, PA. According to an employee, two parties were waiting in line to get some newly cooked steaks. However, one person felt that the line was moving too slowly and cut in front. This did not sit well with others in the line. An argument ensued, which quickly escalated to a clash involving many patrons. Restaurant employees can be seen in a now-viral video trying to intervene, but the angry mob continues fighting each other.
Police say over 40 people were seen clashing, throwing chairs and tables at one another in the restaurant. The three-minute and 24-second video show multiple broken glassware and scattered tables and chairs around the room. The fight appears to have taken place near one of the self-serve food areas.
Golden Corral franchisee JK Hospitality called the fight an “unfortunate disturbance” but says thankfully, no one was seriously injured. Police are now looking for the person who started the brawl.
