Clive Davis’s legendary pre-Grammy party will be postponed until 2023 for several reasons.
The Recording Academy and Clive Davis announced that the annual gala would not happen this year. The pre-Grammy “Clive Party” happens every year at the Beverly Hills Hotel, the night before the star-studded event.
In the announcement, Clive says the cause of postponing the party is due to the COVID pandemic and not having any venues available.
“Due to the logistical obstacles caused by the ongoing pandemic. Including the unavailability of an appropriate venue, we have decided to postpone the 2022 Pre-Grammy Gala,” Davis said in a statement.
Despite not being able to celebrate this year, Davis is clear on its return for 2023.
“We will resume the celebration next year when we will host an incredible evening in our unique and glittering way. Hospitable to our wonderful music artists, music executives, film, television, sports, and illustrious politicians who annually love the event like no other.”
Clive has welcomed many high-profile celebrities to the gala throughout the years ranging from Paul McCartney to Janet Jackson.
The 2022 Grammy’s will also be located at a new venue. This year’s event will be held at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
