The FBI announced a suspect that had been on the Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list was captured in Mexico this past Friday.
Octaviano Juarez-Corro, 48, was on the run for 16 years after opening gunfire at a Memorial Day Weekend celebration in Milwaukee back in 2006. Juarez-Corro and his estranged wife got into a heated discussion over his appearance at a holiday picnic at Lake Michigan. According to authorities, he insisted on seeing his 3-year-old daughter.
Then he allegedly opened fire and shot his wife and four other people, fatally shooting two. He’s been on the run ever since.
According to NBC News, an arrest warrant was issued on June 1, 2006, on charges of first-degree homicide and first-degree attempted homicide.
Recently, he was detained in Mexico, where the FBI was able to arrest him. Though the reward to finding the alleged suspect was up to $100,000, there is no information on how the FBI found him.
He was added to the most wanted list in September.
