“Cheer” star Jerry Harris plead guilty in his child pornography case in a Chicago Federal Court.
Harris entered the plea in his ongoing case that began about 18 months ago, TMZ reported.
The FBI investigated Harris for allegedly soliciting minors for sex in May 2019. Federal prosecutors accuse him of requesting sexually inappropriate photos from teen boys, who sent them to him.
The judge informed Harris that sentencing guidelines say he can get up to 50 years in prison, however, the time is up to the judge, who will announce his sentence in a June 28 hearing.
Harris became a stand during Season 1 of the popular Netflix show, but things quickly went left after he was arrested in Illinois for child pornography in Sept. 2020.
The criminal complaint against Harris revealed he was 19 at the time and his alleged victims were 13.
The teens’ parents say the cheerleader started contacting the minors online in 2018 and repeatedly asked for pornographic photos and videos.
The young victims gave law enforcement screenshots of exchanges with Harris on Snapchat and text messages, and there was other evidence collected.
Harris was initially charged with producing child pornography and still has an ongoing civil matter from the 2 alleged victims, who say he groomed them into sending the nude photos and that he demanded sexual acts.
