A New York man who was arrested last February for participating in the January 6th riots at the Capitol has pleaded guilty to 10 charges.
The man who reportedly works as a DJ recorded himself on snap chat smoking weed in the building, proclaiming, “Smoke out the Capitol, baby.”
Greg Rubenacker pleaded guilty to three felony charges and seven misdemeanor charges; he now faces a possible maximum of 20 years in prison.
During his plea agreement hearing on Friday, Rubenacker confessed to going into the Capitol even though he wasn’t permitted to. He also admitted to throwing a water bottle at a cop and spraying water on officers as they were trying to control the chaos.
