Vogue will allegedly be honoring the late André Leon Talley at a New York Fashion Show.
According to PageSix, sources say Vogue will be paying a tribute to their first and only black creative director. Designer Fredrick Anderson will take the lead in paying a tribute to André at the Blue Jacket Fashion Show during NYFW.
“For a black man getting into fashion, André Leon Talley was an icon and inspiration. He showed me who I was and what could be possible,” Anderson said.
André hosted the fashion show twice. In fact, one of the last times he was seen publicly was at the show in February 2020. The creative director was scheduled to host the show this year but unfortunately passed away in January 2022 of an unknown illness.
