Coachella Scraps Vaccine & Masks Requirement For All Attendees

Coachella Postponed

Coachella has washed its hand of the pandemic and all of the restrictions that come with it.

This year’s star-studded festival has quietly axed all of its COVID-19 rules. That means attendees will no longer have to wear masks or show proof of vaccination or a negative test. The renowned event did not announce these changes on social media, but the official website does confirm that COVID-19 protocols have been drastically eased.

These latest developments follow California’s termination of the mask mandate except for schools, which will still require students to wear face coverings. However, hints of relaxed entry rules have lingered over the festival for months now. In October, Coachella announced that vaccination was no longer a requirement.

Coachella’s scaled-back safety efforts are a reflection of California’s decreasing COVID-19 cases. Festival organizers are still prepared to re-introduce the measures in accordance with any modifications implemented by federal, state, or local governments.

Coachella will take place on the weekends of April 15-17 and 22-24, making its comeback after being canceled in 2020 and 2021. Harry Styles is set to headline along with rivals Kanye West and Billie Eilish.
