The family of late comedian and actor Bob Saget has filed a lawsuit to block the release of his death investigation records.

The Saget family says they want to protect their mental peace as they continue dealing with the loss of Bob Saget, who was found dead in his hotel room on Jan. 9 at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes, in Florida.

Saget’s wife, Kelly Rizzo, and his three daughters, Aubrey, Lara and Jennifer, have come together in a lawsuit against Orange County Sheriff John Mina and the District Nine Medical Examiner’s Office, pushing against the release of the records in their investigation into Saget’s death. NBC News reports the lawsuit was filed Tuesday.

The family says the release of the records could cause them to “suffer irreparable harm in the form of extreme mental pain, anguish, and emotional distress.” The family is seeking to have some items, including video recordings, photos, audio and autopsy details blocked from being publicized.

“Upon information and belief, some of these Records graphically depict Mr. Saget, his likeness or features, or parts of him, and were made by Defendants during Defendants’ investigations,” the lawsuit states.

In a statement, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said it understands the sensitivity of the matter. “While we are sensitive to the family’s concerns about the right to privacy, that must be balanced with our commitment to transparency, compliance with the law, and the public’s right to know,” it said, NBC News reports.
