A brawl broke out at Lincoln University, and unfortunately, one person died, and two others were injured after someone stabbed them.
The university, located in Oxford, PA, reported that one student was fatally stabbed inside a residence hall after a fight broke out among a group of people.
Authorities pronounced the 21-year-old victim dead at the Thurgood Marshall Living and Learning Center. The identity of the student killed has not been released, the New York Post reported.
Two other students were also injured in the stabbing and were rushed to Delaware’s Christiana Hospital. They have been treated and released.
“This is every parent’s nightmare,” Chester County District Attorney Ryan said. “We extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones impacted as a result of this tragedy.”
“We are deeply saddened by the incident that occurred on campus last night,” the university said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.
“We take the safety of our students seriously and are working with local authorities as there is an ongoing investigation.”
