Tyler Perry stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where he revealed the best thing about Oprah Winfrey serving as his son’s godmother — and it’s probably not what you think.
The 52-year-old appeared on Wednesday’s show and played a round of question and answer with the talk show host. Ellen presses a button and the “Random Question Generator 3000” picks a question.
When asked the best part about having Oprah as his son’s godmother, Perry reveals it’s the books she gives his 7-year-old son, Aman.
“The books, she sends so many books to him,” he says without missing a beat. “My son’s not online, and things like that, he doesn’t have an iPad. He gets to watch some things on the iPad, maybe 30 minutes every now and then, but the books. She sends great gifts.”
Perry shares Aman with his ex-girlfriend Gelila Bekele. The media mogul and Bekele began dating in 2007 and split in 2020.
