One Dead After Elderly Woman Drives Into Diners At Florida Restaurant; Woman Was Reportedly Trying To Parallel Park [Video]

An elderly woman in Florida drove into people dining outside, leaving one dead and six others injured.

At around 6 p.m. Thursday night, an elderly woman drove into people who were eating outside of the restaurant Call Me Gaby in the South Beach section of Miami Beach. One person has been confirmed dead and six others were injured, one of which was a 3-year-old child.

Images of the incident were shared on social media. Emergency vehicles can be seen responding to the crash alongside Washington Avenue. NBC News reports the woman was trying to parallel park when she hit several tables.

The New York Post reports one man on Twitter wrote, “I am never eating outside of a restaurant on a busy street ever again I just watched a car back into people eating outside on Miami Beach.”
