Tinder Swindler Headed to Court To Face The Real Leviev Family

Facebook

The diamond family “Tinder Swindler” Simon Leviev lied about being associated with has filed a lawsuit for allegedly impersonating them. They are claiming he enriched himself in their name.

Leviev, born Shimon Hayut, used the LLD Diamonds trademark to help convince his victims he was part of the diamond industry. Lev Leviev and his family, including the company’s current CEO Chagit Leviev, believe Hayut “defrauded, cheated, conned, falsified, and hurt women, men and businesses.”

Hayut touted himself to be the son of the Israeli Russian diamond tycoon and the CEO of LLD Diamonds. He led his victims to believe his wealthy family would cover costs associated with his lavish lifestyle.

“The defendant used the dating application ‘Tinder’ to locate women who he then emotionally manipulated, cunningly bamboozled of funds, and eventually convinced to transfer large sums of money to him under the guise of being on the run from individuals intending on hurting him,” according to the suit.

Chagit told Page Six that any money received as a result of the lawsuit would be given to Hayut’s victims. She believes the family is also one of his victims.

“Even though we are a diamond company, we are victims too. We are getting threats because of this. Endless prank calls saying, ‘My enemies are coming for me,’” she alleged. “I believe the [Netflix] show didn’t do a good enough job of explaining that we have nothing to do with him.”

The “Tinder Swindler” spent two and a half years in a Finnish prison for defrauding women. He also served time in an Israeli jail on fraud charges.

Now that he is free, he lives in a high-end apartment in Israel. He currently lives with his model girlfriend. He recently signed with a Hollywood agent.
