March marks Women’s History Month, where we celebrate the trailblazing and fierce contributions women have made throughout time. This Women’s History Month, we’re calling attention to the uber-talented Zoë Kravitz as she takes on the powerful role of Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman in “The Batman,” premiering only in theaters on March 4.
At 33-years-old, the actress is taking on the iconic role of Catwoman in Matt Reeves’ “The Batman.” As Kravitz steps into this new role, Batman fans couldn’t be more excited to see her channel her inner feline.
“The Batman” is the next installment in the Warner Bros. DC franchise with Robert Pattinson starring as the Caped Crusader. After more than a year of Batman stalking the streets of Gotham City, striking fear into the heart of criminals, Bruce Wayne has been led into the shadows. Picking and choosing his petty crime battles, Batman usually wins. At the same time, Selina Kyle is on her own mission when she crosses paths with Batman. As their investigation intertwines, we see the fierce and fiery Cat join forces with the Bat.
In Reeve’s rendition, Zoë Kravitz stars as a slick, edgy femme fatale who has her own hidden agenda and is equally enigmatic. Her reckless and daring approach to conflict may or may not be on the side of “right,” however, she finds herself frequently by Batman’s side.
In the 2022 film, Catwoman features a reimagined look from previous versions of the iconic character, including short hair, cat-eye makeup, and a more utilitarian-looking leather jumpsuit. Plus, she uses her long, edgy nails and a whip as a weapon in the film.
It’s safe to say Kravitz will be doing an exciting, sexy transition from Selina to the fierce and powerful Catwoman and we cannot wait to witness it. Plus, it’s Women’s History Month which makes it all the more reason to see the strong, fierce badass Catwoman on-screen only in theaters on March 4.
