Keyshia Cole was arrested early Friday morning in Los Angeles following an alleged altercation at the home of Birdman, according to TMZ and other outlets. Police reportedly booked her on a battery charge, and she was said to have been released on bail the same day.
According to TMZ’s sources, Keyshia arrived at Birdman’s condo around 5 a.m. and allegedly confronted a woman who was leaving the bathroom. The woman has been identified in reports as Sabrina, a longtime Cash Money employee. Reports say Sabrina was taken to a hospital after the incident.
Sabrina’s side of the story has also begun to surface. According to reports, she says she has known Birdman since they were young and that nothing romantic was going on. Sources say she was not alone with him that night and that several other people were at the condo. Sabrina reportedly says she does not know why Keyshia would think otherwise.
Keyshia’s representatives had not publicly commented on the arrest at the time of this post. She still made it to Saturday’s taping of the 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards, where she appeared as a presenter. The show airs October 14. Birdman was also reported to be at the event.
Keyshia also shared a couple of reflective posts on Instagram over the weekend about love, loyalty and honesty, though she did not mention the arrest directly.
